BlueAvocado Starter Kit Reusable Grocery Bag System Review

I've been using my own bags for years at the grocery store and have had plenty of experiences with different types of bags.When I first encountered these bags back about 8 months ago I was put off by the price.I reluctantly bought the starter pack about a month ago in part because I was constantly forgetting my bags at home and needed new ones.I was pleasantly surprised.For those of us who use our own bags we know how much of a hassle it is getting cashiers or baggers to understand the concept (not so hard anymore).But I like these bags for the following reasons:

1). Easy load - the Pak bags (large brown one) open up enough that they are easy to load and can stand up on their own without having to "hold them up and open".

2). Large -
a). The Pak - size is huge, I can easily place a gallon jug of milk, laundry detergent, and fabric softener in the bag at the same time.
b.) Everyday bag - again this one will hold as much as 3 regular WalMart size bags will hold (BIG Surprise)

3). Sturdy -
a). The Pak - says it will hold 20 lbs, I believe it could easily hold that much and not be too much of a pull on the shoulder. Also the handles are easily reinforced by the large metal eyelets.
b). Everyday bag - surprisingly sturdy recycled material, seems to be like a very dense vinyl but easily pliable.

4). Portability - The Pak and Everyday Bag both fold up for easy storage and make it much easier to tote around and throw back into the car.The small one folds in on itself and stays in an attached pouch, were the larger one snaps shut. The small one also has a D-clap on the end so you can hook the rolled up pouch on to your keys, purse handles, whatever.

As far as the veggie bag, I never use it, I hardly ever use plastic either it. However the veggie bag is quiet large and could easily accommodate 6 grapefruit. The main con I see to this item is the knit of the mesh is kinda thick and if your cashier or if you are using the self-check out you may not be able to read the produce code off the fruit/veggie.Besides the thing is about 2 gallons in size too large for most produce quantity needs.I wish they had a smaller one.

The only improvement I could really see making is to add comfort handles rather than just the bare nylon on the Pak.Moral is I don't regret my purchase and have more on my wish list.
