Heated Dog Booster Seat Large Charcoal/Bone Review

My 11 year old female pug (19 pounds) loves this.I used the attached leash clip and unclipped it from the seat (originally the leash clip is just attached to a ring sewn into the seat fabric it's so not a safety feature so much as a convenience feature) and instead looped one end of it onto a big D-ring clamp I bought at a hardware store, which I secured around the metal post of the headrest in the back seat of the car where we use this.I then clip this leash clip onto my dog's harness, ensuring that if we stop short, she will remain in place and not go flying through the windshield due to her raised height in this seat.The seat is nice looking, well made, and has a removable cushion.In a pinch, when traveling you could use it as a dog bed. It keeps my dog from jumping around inside the car (in that short moment between putting her in the backseat and getting into the driver's seat or loading stuff in the trunk) and keeps her from jumping on windows and scratching them.Also it elevates her enough so she can see outside the window without standing up.The large sized seat is just right for my medium-sized pug even though it says it's for two pets.They would have to be two incredibly tiny dogs. The heater feature works great. The plug extends from the back seat of the car to reach the AC outlet/cigarette lighter in the dashboard just fine. Heats up quickly, and significant heat can be felt through the cushion very quickly. It cycles on and off so as not to constantly heat the dog.The seat stays put in the car by putting the seatbelt through the bottom cut-out tunnel on one end of the seat and passing through to the other side of the seat and buckling it there.We use this seat in a Lexus ES sedan and in a Jeep Liberty SUV and it works fine in both vehicles.It takes up one full rear passenger seat.One adult could sit comfortably in the back seat with this in the other side of the back seat. We usually keep a small handtowel or pet fleece blanket on the cushion to protect it from muddy paws. I think I bought it from a different seller, but it was through Amazon's site, and even though the price is not cheap, it's a sturdy and nice-looking product that keeps my dog safe and comfortable, is used at least twice a week, and we've had it nearly a year with no complaints.
