Brass Censer/Charcoal Incense Burner - 6" High Review

Brass Censer/Charcoal Incense Burner - 6' HighIt works fine. The charcoal burns right, smoke comes out and charcoal burns completely. It is too hot to touch anywhere during operation. That aspect of it is normal. Burn charcoal in anything metal and it will get very hot. Somewhere in another censer review someone recommended putting sand inside to put more distance from the pedestal and the charcoal, but I have not tried that.

Between the censer cup and pedestal there is a male/male threaded bolt to connect the two pieces. The bolt was inserted into the censer cup unevenly and seems forced in. The pedestal screws onto the bolt, and the cup sit unevenly on it. The pedestal will not screw up to meet the cup , so the bolt is exposed. Maybe it's nitpicking, but you purchase something like this with aesthetics in mind.

Just remember to let the charcoal burn until is glowing white before you add resin. It will smell wrong if you do (burnt). Don't use too much resin. If its your first time using a censer, do it on a heat proof surface with good ventilation until you get familiar with it. Understand it will be hot, if you think you might have to move it, have an idea before you light it what your going to do.
