When I view this throw on my computer I am a purple sucker and was caught by what a vibrant bright pink purple and how silky this zambaiti throw appeared. I searched like a pro to find it's size, finding it's home site in Italy, but still no one knew the size or had seen the color till I found a site that sells other zambaiti and the nice male their gave me the inches, so I ordered this expensive throw to my shock, still unsure if the color was anything like the picture.
The color is much more of a soft purple, with a bit iris, but still a bit pink purple, not bright or vibrant at all, which is in reality good for my living room and blending as the online color is too much for most rooms, even my many shades of purple I so like.
The material is lambswool and reminds me of a wool skirt with a bit of tiny white hairs on very close examination. It is more coarse, tho lovely, compared to my cashmere sweaters and such.
It appears to be of Excellent quality and I am please with the color in todays bright light and hope to be in the evening. It is lightweight as I get to warm when oovered easily, so I will appreciate in all seasons. So so far I am very please but wish I could have found a phone number to have the color described to me and size. I was actually afraid to open the box when it came today, (duh grin) thinking it would be too bright and vibrant for practicality in a living room, and it is not.
I don't know about the aubergine, but the stipes seemingily that shade around the edges is quite a dark faded plum in my view, but no idea what it really looks like.
I need natural fabrics on my skin and I am too disabled to knit, so I wished people who knitted those mohair (not acrylic) colorful blend of Indian colors and fabrics would sell them on E bay or at a site. I couldn't find one that wasn't, well, cahum in my view. So I got so frustrated I paid more than I certainly planned for this throw, but I think I got great quality and a suprise color that is lovely, not too bright for most rooms at all.
SO 71x52 inches for unstated size. AND a soft pinkish purple with iris, in a muted color, not the omg bright pink purple it views. Not silky, but lovely light weight wool like a light wool skirt.
