Steven Raichlen BBQ Rubs: All-Purpose, Lone Star, Kansas CityI bought this rub to replace an old Kansas City favorite, the Brisket Rub from Stephenson's Apple Orchard.Stephenson's closed forever in 2007.This product is as close as I have been able to come to the Stephenson's product, and it does a nice job, but lacks the spiciness of the original.I didn't expect it to be as good, and it wasn't, but it brings out the flavor of brisket well, and captures the essence that Kansas City BBQ is famous for.
